About IESR
The Information Environment Service Registry (IESR) is a Mimas service, funded by JISC and based at The University of Manchester.
IESR is the UK’s freely available catalogue of electronic resources. Users access a machine-readable registry that provides quality assured and constantly updated descriptions of resources and methods of accessing them.
IESR has been designed to benefit the UK academic community and can be accessed through web and machine interfaces and search plug-ins. An IESR search provides users with information about registered resources, how to access those resources and the resource provider’s contact details.
Resource providers can contribute to IESR, promoting their resource collections to a UK-wide audience by registering their resource descriptions.
